The EA-QRP Club invite all the Radioamateurs of the world to take part in our contest.
OBJECT: To promote the contacts using low power on SSB QRP.
DATE: 3rd weekend of December (18-19th December).
CONTEST PERIODS: The contest will be divided into 4 parts.
1st Part - From 17:00 to 20:00 UTC the 18th December on 10, 15 and 20 meter bands.
2nd Part - From 20:00 to 23:00 UTC the 18th December on 80 meters band.
3rd Part - From 07:00 to 10:00 UTC the 19th December on 40 meters band.
4th Part - From 10:00 to 13:00 UTC the 19th December on 10, 15 and 20 meter bands.
FREQUENCIES: All recognised SSB QRP frequencies (or close to them) must be used:
- 10 meters (28.360 Mhz - 28.350 to 28.400 Mhz)
- 15 meters (21.285 Mhz - 21.265 to 21.290 Mhz)
- 20 meters (14.285 Mhz - 14.265 to 14.300 Mhz)
- 40 meters (7.090 Mhz - 7.070 to 7.100 Mhz)
- 80 meters (3.690 Mhz - 3.675 to 3.700 Mhz)
CALL: "CQ Contest EAQRP". We recommend not to use /QRP after the callsign (all contestants will be running QRP).
EXCHANGE: RS + Serial number + "M" (Only members of the EA QRP Club will include "M" on the exchange). Example, 59 001 M or 59 001, depending on the case.
MAXIMUM OUTPUT POWER ALLOWED: The maximum output power will be 10 watts.
CATEGORIES: Only single operator QRP.
- Spanish QRP station
- International QRP station
QSO POINTS: 1 point to contact the same country (EA, EA6, EA8 and EA9 will also only count as 1 point), 2 points with the same continent and 4
points with a different continent.
MULTIPLIERS: Members of the EA QRP Club and DXCC countries on each band. EA6, EA8 and EA9 will count as the same multiplier (EA).
TOTAL SCORE: Total sum of QSO points multiplied by sum of total multipliers.
PENALTIES: A competitor can be disqualified if we can prove that they are using more power than is allowed. DX Cluster is allowed, but self-spotting
is prohibited. Contacts will not be valid if they are not in two or more logs.
LOGS: All logs must enclose the following details:
- UTC time
- Callsign
- Exchange sent and received , 59 + Serial number + M (Member of the EA-QRP).
- Bands
We recommend that you send a claim score sheet but it is not essential.
You must include a description of the station you use during the Contest
(RX, TX or RTX, antenna/s, power output, accessories, ...) and a formal declaration that you have used the power allowed.
We welcome any commentaries, photographs, anecdotes, ... from the competition so we can publish them in our bulletin.
With the aim of making it easy to send the logs you can send an email in any format with all the details.
The logs must be sent within 30 days from the end of the competition to:

All logs received after 30 days will be a "Check list".
PRIZES and TROPHIES:
- 1st and 2nd placed Spanish QRP stations
- 1st International QRP station
Dependant on participation there are possibilities to gain other prizes if competitors have recently gained their licence
(in the last 3 years), or if they have restrictions in their licence.
Competitors who win a prize can not win a prize a consecutive year.
